......and so it starts, December. December is both my favorite month and my least favorite. We have a whirlwind of celebrations this month, most of them in one week, starting tomorrow. When Dwight and I got married, we set the date for his birthday, Dec. 2nd. My parents had been married on my dads birthday, we repeated the pattern. One year later, Sabrina was born on Dec. 7th at 11:08 at night, which happened to be 52 minutes before it turned my birthday, Dec. 8th. So, the first days of Dec. are very busy and of course, then there's the rest of the month. The jobs of planning gifts, keeping lists, budgeting, wrapping, decorating and planning birthday parties are all mine. This year it's all piled on top of my final in Fundementals of Nursing, my hardest test of the semester on Fluid balance and electrolytes and testing in lab. Sometimes it's pretty overwhelming. This was also the first year I ever had to tell anyone, "Sorry, you're not getting what you want. " The economy here is horrible. Thank God, as a nurse, I will probably always have a job, but that's a year and a half off. Dwight won't have work if people in our area are layed off and Chase wants a PS3. I just can't do it and it makes me cry just thinking of it. I've been really lucky tho', none of my kids have ever asked for much at Christmas, no one's greedy. Chase hasn't had new game system in about 8 years and he's due. But....PS3 costs $400.00 for just the system, $60.00 for games. It's not happenening this year, not unless I win a large lottery jackpot. I know it won't kill him to not have a PS3 but it makes me feel bad. Guess we need to concentrate on what we do have and be thankful for that, Cuz we have alot to be thankful for. another Dec. b'day...today, Happy Bday Uncle Gary!!!!!
